I just ran a 4:09:13 chip time and a 4:11:02 gun time to break the Guinness World Record for fastest marathon ever dressed as a leprechaun. WORLD RECORD HOLDER BABY!

So I've been slowly revealing this information to friends as the date has gotten closer, but today I got the final approvals I needed on some things so everything is a go!

On Feb 14th, 2010 at the Austin Marathon, I will be attempting to set a new GUINNESS WORLD RECORD for the fastest marathon dressed as a leprechaun.

I've done numerous marathons before but it's been a few years since I've done a standalone marathon and so I figured this year I'd go for an extra exciting challenge.  

I recall as a child being just amazed looking thru a copy of the Guinness World Records book and always thought "Hey, I could do that" and "Wouldn't that be cool if I did that?"   Fast forward a couple of decades and here we are.  I simply can't wait!!

The current record is 4 hr 22 min 08 sec achieved by Jack Lyons (UK) at the Flora London Marathon, London, UK, on 26 April 2009.
